Whether our language forms be socioeconomically linked, regionally linked, gendered, or chronologically categorized, they all tell the story of who we are and who we recognize, and who we do, or at least want to, connect with and understand. They have developed an interest in Sociolinguistics, with a focus on Queer and Trans Linguistics. She recently completed a research project in hispanic linguistics that studies the phonemic variation of the \/s\/ and \/z\/ sounds in Spanish and English L1 and L2 speakers titled &#8220;Variaci\u00f3n fon\u00e9mica de los sonidos [s] y [z] en hablantes L1 y L2 de ingl\u00e9s y espa\u00f1ol&#8221;.
